110 inch TV from Samsung is launched
The worlds biggest TV can be brought right now for around $150,000 from Samsung, just in time for the CES 2014 next week.
Coming a year after Samsungs’ previous giant TV, measuring 85 inches, this TV boasts full 4K pixel UHD (Ultra High Definition) screen. Current consumer TVs are mostly made at 1k pixels across, known as Full HD, so this latest offering from Samsung is 4 times the quality. Although most programmes and movies are still only shot or delivered at 1k, so you would have to wait for content makers to film in 4K to enjoy the full UHD sensation. There is little else said about the hardware inside or features.
The TV will be shown off during the annual CES 2014 show in Las Vegas, Nevada, where its smaller version, the 105-inch curved ultra HD TV will also be revealed.
The screen measures 8.5 feet (2.6m) wide and 5.9 feet (1.8m) tall and will only be custom sold to Europe, Middle East and China first priced around $150,000. So get those orders in, just make sure you can get it through the door first – without bending it!
