New digital camera from Casio called the EXILIM EX-H50

Casio EXILIM EX-H50Casio have launched a new digital camera that features 24x optical zoom, the EX-H50 in its EXILIM point and shoot range that is more compact and slim. EXILIM is a brand from Casio that was first introduced in 2002 and was noted for its slim and compact design, which led to other manufacturers releasing their own compact range. The EXILIM EX-H50 is able to take photos with a 16.1 mega pixel resolution, has a 3inch TFT screen display, and 24x optical zoom with mechanical image stabilizer and 4x digital zoom (96x in combination with optical zoom). The camera is ready to take photos / videos less than 2 seconds after turning on. The lens is 25mm wide that will capture more area when taking a photo without having to move back from the subject and can be as close as 2cm away for macro shots. There are a number of auto modes for taking the best photos in certain light conditions and offers eight photo effects such as Fisheye, Sepia and Monochrome which are done on each photo from the on 3inch screen menu. HD videos can be shot with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with a one click button. The EX-H50 is available in 3 colors, black, white and red, and the expected price is about €250 when it goes on sale in Europe next month.
