Sony announces new Xperia T smartphone
Sony has unveiled its newest phones in the Xperia range at the IFA trade show in Berlin, Germany today; the high end phone being the Xperia T.The T features Sony Mobile Bravia engine on a 4.6 inch HD Reality display. Like other Xperia phones, NFC is also included to make mobile payments and use Sony’s Smart Tags. The phone has a dual-core Qualcomm Krait 1.5GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage with room for 32GB and runs factory installed Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, with an update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean available soon. The screen is 1280 x 720 with a pixel density of 319ppi, being able to play back 1020 HD video. The camera is 13MP with x16 digital zoom and Sony’s Exmor R image sensor, shooting full HD video, there is also a 720p front facing camera. The 1850 mAh battery should keep things going for good while before it needs a recharge. Sony say that phone is avaiable in black, white and silver and will be released worldwide shortly. The upcoming James Bond movie, Skyfall, is set to feature the Xperia T.
