A 10inch Galaxy Note tablet to arrive this month from Samsung
Samsung has announced that it will release a 10 inch Galaxy Note tablet sometime this month (August 2012). Its smilliar to the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 but this next version has higher specs and more in kin to the Samsung Galaxy Note smartphone.
Its expected to be launching on August 15th and available worldwide when Samsung will hold an event in New York with the specs said to be; 1.4Ghz quad-core Exynos processor, 5 megapixel back camera and 1.9 megapixel forward camera, 2GB RAM, 1,280×800 display and running the Android 4.0 ICS OS, good for running apps simultaneously. The 3G and wi-fi versions will be priced around $549.99 and later in the year the LTE coming to stores. The tablet had been announced by Samsung since February at the Mobile World Congress but has had spec updates from then.
Simon Stanford, Vice President, UK & IRE Telecommunications & Networks Division, Samsung UK and Ireland said in a press statement, “The Galaxy Note 10.1 is a product we are very excited about and will offer our customers a new way to use and experience a tablet device. As well as being able to consume content such as videos, photos, document and the Internet, the Galaxy Note 10.1 also gives them the power to produce, create and customize that same content – something they won’t get from any other product on the market.”
Unlike the previous Samsung tablets, this version will include the S Pen stylus to feature note taking and the tablet obviously having built-in templates to handle different types of note in putting, and hand written notes will be converted to normal text that can be edited. This is very much the same as the Glaxay Note 5.3 smartphone which has been a fairly surprising hit being expensive and half-way between phone and tablet (phablet). The Note is one of very few that includes a stylus for input as well as finger input.
