According to sources who have been cited and correct in the past, Apple will unviel next versions of its devices on Sep 12th. This was reported in the blog site iMore, telling about a glitzy event for the launch. 

Book the date in your diary; the iPhone 5 is then expected to be released 9 days later on Sep 21st, with big queses at Apple stores as per usual. The iPad mini wasn’t mentioned for release that date would be most likely to be on the same day. The smaller iPad would be the same as its bigger brother but with a 7inch screen instead of 9.7inch, and the iPhone 5 with a bigger 4 inch and Retina display at 16:9 aspect ratio.

The latest reports match an earlier one from a French site (app4phone.fr) who also say of a Sep 21st release citing Intel from Chinese industry source. There have also been talk of an iPod Touch and iPod Nano, as Apple usually do release those devices around the same time.

Apple would be looking to have a better financial quarter, than the one just gone, bye releasing the iPhone and iPad earlier than the usual October release. The third quarter has been less than impressive one for Apple.
